The City of Auburn is excited to host Happy Paws, coming up on Saturday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Les Gove Park.
Not to be confused with the grandiose Petpalooza festival traditionally held at Game Farm Park, Happy Paws will give dog lovers an opportunity to visit pet-related vendors and stock up on some of your favorite items in a safe, outdoor environment.
If you plan on attending Happy Paws, you can anticipate seeing approximately 40 vendors. In addition to some samples and give-a-way items, vendors will be selling leashes, dog treats, dog/cat toys, blankets and pet beds, a variety of pet service information and much more. And best of all, select vendors will have adoptions available for those looking to add to their family.
Unfortunately, there will be no entertainment or other pet attractions this year, but you are welcome to bring your leashed, licensed and well-behaved pets with you to browse and shop at the Happy Paws event.
Safety is the #1 Priority
The event site will be completely fenced, so the number of attendees can be monitored in accordance with state guidelines. The event will also be taking the following safety precautions:
- Limiting attendance inside fenced area to current state guidelines
- In accordance to the Governor’s orders, masks/face coverings are required by all attendees, staff and vendors inside the event area
- One entrance and one exit
- One way flow of traffic
- There will be a maximum of 45 vendors, who will all be separated by 10 feet
- Social distancing indicators will be placed at each vendor booth
- Vendors are required to provide a ‘U-shaped’ set-up; thus no attendees will be allowed under canopies
- Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance and exit
